Crisis Negotiations Team
The Sheriff’s Office Crisis Negotiation Team responds to the scene of all hostage or barricades situations involving the Sheriff’s Office. The Crisis Negotiations Team will make every attempt to protect the lives of all hostages, bystanders, deputy sheriffs and suspects, secure the release of hostages and facilitate the apprehension of all suspects.
Training: All Crisis Negotiation Team members must attend a 40 hour basic hostage negotiations course within the first year after appointment to the team.
