My name is Stacey Kincaid, and I am proud to be the first woman to lead the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office in our 280 year history. When I was first elected in 2013, I was not new to the agency. I started as a Sheriff’s deputy right out of college and worked my way up to the rank of Captain.
I ran for Sheriff because I wanted to be an agent of change and make this agency a leader in both the law enforcement community and the Fairfax County community at large. I am happy to say that we are! We have launched several innovative programs and are recognized nationally for the work we do inside the Adult Detention Center and out in the community. We are an essential part of the Fairfax County public safety family.
I am very proud of the diverse group of professional men and women who work for the Sheriff’s Office. We offer the best possible training not only at the beginning of your career but also in the years that follow. Every action we take – or don’t take – affects our ability to carry out our mission and influences our reputation in the communities we serve.
If you have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn and a belief in treating everyone with dignity and respect, I hope you will consider joining our team.
