Honor Guard
Established in 1982, the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard Team is a highly visible component of the agency and is a formal representative of the Sheriff’s Office. The Honor Guard regularly participates in all types of functions in Fairfax County and the surrounding Washington D.C. area, including funeral/burial services, graduations, parades, judge investitures and other special activities. The team practices together every month and takes part in an annual multi-day training session that concentrates on very precise funeral procedures and other detailed team drills.
